Peace Church is currently gearing up for Love Eau Claire 2011-12. We hope to raise more than $40,000 to change lives in the Chippewa Valley, and we need your help. Here are four ways that you can participate in Love Eau Claire this year:
Pray
Ask that God would use Peace Church to help the poor, sick, and suffering in our community … that we would care not only for their physical needs but lead them toward faith in Jesus Christ.
Volunteer
Posted throughout Peace Church are several Love Eau Claire volunteer opportunity posters; find an opportunity that excites you, and sign up.
Give
Make a financial contribution through the envelope provided. You can mail your envelope to Peace or bring it to one of two special collections during worship services December 10-11 or December 17-18. To date, we have only raised a little over $3,000, so your financial support is critically needed.
Remember & Share (Consider a Love Eau Claire Christmas Gift)
As a way to commemorate your Love Eau Claire experience, Peace Church will be selling Love Eau Claire cards. Each card features a picture of a young child, a Scripture verse and a brief description of the economic situation at Longfellow. It costs $50 to provide weekend meals to a child for one school year; for each $50 you give to Love Eau Claire, we will give you a Love Longfellow card. The cards are great reminders of our need to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community, and they make great Christmas gifts. If you would like to purchase a card, they will be available December 1st and can be picked up in the church office or at the Welcome Center.
