ADULTS MINISTRY

Adult ministry at Peace is muti-faceted, with a variety of opportunities for you to get serious about your spiritual growth while enjoying yourself at the same time. From Life Groups, to Bible Studies to retreats and seminars there is always something happening at Peace to help you experience authentic Christian community, and support for your daily walk with Jesus. Here are some of the major programs we currently offer:

Life Groups
Join a Peace Life Group and get connected! Life group members generally meet once a week to share life and support each other in living as Christ followers. Small Groups also dig into God’s word and apply it to everyday life. If you are ready to take a new step into authentic and more supportive Christian community, then fill out a “Life Group Connection” form and turn it into the church office, or contact David Forke, 834-2486 or forke@peace-lutheran.org. Get connected with a Life Group at Peace and discover the joy of experiencing life together with a group of Christian friends.

Bible Studies
Peace has a number of regular adult Bible studies that meet weekly throughout the program year. Wednesday night at 6:00 a choice of topics is offered. Sunday mornings at 10:50 you are invited to bring your coffee and your friends to join David Forke in the Adult Study Room. There you will always find a fun topical study and lively discussion of faith and life. A special Women’s Bible Study meets on Tuesday morning with large group teaching by Lynette Schulz followed by small group discussion, sharing and prayer. And a Senior Adult Bible study lead by Pastor Ollie meets on Thursday afternoons. These meetings feature coffee and snacks afterwards with a monthly luncheon and Communion worship service offered as well. For more information, contact David Forke, Lynette Schulz or Pastor Ollie. Men’s Ministry
Men’s ministry leaders organize a variety of activities around the year. Past activities include annual Peace men’s breakfast, golf outings, canoe trips, winter retreats, and seminars. Check the Bulletin Board and Newsletter for upcoming activities or contact Pastor Mark.

Women’s Ministry
In addition to the Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study, the women of Peace have a number of other special opportunities for community and spiritual growth. The annual Women’s Retreat takes place at an off-site retreat center in the late winter to early spring. Also a number of women take road trips to a variety of other women’s conferences during the year. Check the Bulletin Board and Newsletter for upcoming activities or contact Lynette Schulz.

Prayer Ministry
Peace is a praying church. We have a number of prayer groups including a Peace Prayer Chain and a Peace Cyber Prayer Chain. To get your prayer requests to the prayer chains contact the church office, or fill out a prayer request card on the counter near the Prayer Chapel. And be sure to watch for Prayer Retreats and Prayer Vigils throughout the year. Contact David Forke for more information.

Peace FourThought Blog
To help you get into reading your Bible more regularly and to reflect on God’s word, we have designed a special Blog page. Each week the primary preacher chooses four chapters of the Bible that have relevant verses to the message of the week. These chapters are posted in the newsletter and on the blog page itself. You are invited to read and reflect on these chapters during the week leading up to the message. Also Peace staff and members will blog their own reflections to help you dig into the meaning of the scripture verses as well. Feel free to add your own comments.
