“I’ve Got This”

The challenge and disappointment of infertility led to an international adventure of adoption and ministry.  This week Julie and Vince Maro share their story which will encourage us to trust God despite our own challenges and disappointments.  We hold on to this promise from God’s Word: “… for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Monday | Deuteronomy 31:1-8

In times of worry, fear, and waiting, what does it look like to be strong or courageous? God tells us He will go before us and alongside us, does this reassure you? How so? What fears do you need to turn over to God in this season?

Tuesday | Joshua 1:1-9

What promises did God make to Moses about His people, Israel? How did God fulfill those promises? What is the relationship between meditating day and night on Scripture, and being strong and courageous?

Wednesday | Psalm 136

This Psalm shares pain and suffering alongside joy and praise. What examples do you have in your life that share this pain and joy? What would it look like if you wrote out a prayer of praise to God in the midst of struggle?

Thursday | John 14:15-20

God does not abandon or forsake us. How do we find comfort in the moments we feel abandoned or alone? What does life in Jesus mean to you? How do we see God in our everyday lives?

Friday | 2 Corinthians 1:18-22

Make a list of all of the promises of God you can think of or find in the Bible. How has God continually fulfilled His promises? What does that mean about the promises that He gives to us? What areas of your life are you waiting for a “Yes” from God? How can you live with a fulfilled promise mindset, even in the midst of unanswered prayers?
